bead store located next to the Wachovia Bank on West State Street in Coopersburg, PA.
We specialize in seed beads, Delica beads, crystals, pearls, Czech seed beads, Czech
glass beads and so much more! We have a huge selection of Japanese seed beads by all
3 major manufacturers in sizes 6, 8, 11 and 15. We carry the Myuki Duracoat line and
the Toho Permanent Finish Line. There’s no doubt about it - we are THE place for seed
beads in this area!
We also have a wide range of classes for every skill level, starting with the basics for folks who have no beading experience and working up through novice, intermediate and advanced level classes. We also have classes in chain maille, metalsmithing and wire work. There are so many outstanding teachers in this area, including Judy Bollinger, Sue Quinque, Diane Hertzler, Dottie Hoeschen to name but a few, and we are thrilled to have them teaching at The Bead Hive. We will also be hosting some of the country’s top teachers in 2011. In April, we are proud as can be to welcome Diane Fitzgerald to our store. In August, another of the country’s top teachers, Melanie Potter, will be here and in September, we will welcome Leslee Frumin to Coopersburg. These wonderful ladies will have something to offer any serious beader and we are so happy to be able to bring their teaching skills and projects to you. We have a monthly “Bead Addicts’ Night Out” on the second Thursday of each month
from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm. This is an “open beading” night and everyone is welcome. There is no charge and we always have a good time. Bring your work in progress and
join us for some good music, snacks and a whole lot of fun.
Most importantly, we specialize in “Service with a Smile”! Our staff in knowledgeable and always ready to help your beading endeavors in any way we can. If you ask us something we don’t know, we will do whatever we can to find an answer for you. If there is something particular you are looking for and we do not have it in stock, we will try and get it for you. We want your experience at The Bead Hive to be a great one.
